Dead-Lock

Dead-Lock Animation

An animation made in collaboration with my peers at LCC . This work explores the hopelessness in dealing with various mental health problem such as depression, anxiety and more. The waves refer to how turbulent emotion can change the course of healing represented by the small boat. The tears becoming fish that each correspond with negativism from within ones self while the stars shows malice from the outside world.

Sonic Work

I have made a series of different projects. Some collaborative and others are solo works that I showcase on my sound-cloud.

The Snowman: Foley Re-dub

As I experiment with sound one area I was attracted too was Foley. This video is an excerpt of the famous cartoon The Snowman directed by Dianne Jackson who adapted it from the poem by Raymond Brigg’s.

Some materials I worked with were plastic, fabrics and rocks. I also used field recorders to capture bed creaking and my own voice for some sound effects.

Whimsy Attic

One of the collaborative works I have been apart of is a VR project called the Whimsy Attic. This was made alongside fellow UAL students from the VR course and my classmates in Sounds Arts. This game which revolves nostalgia. The player is presented with a varying objects that they can go into and explore through the lenses of a child. We went with the surrealism as inspiration. I worked on the sound effects and atmosphere such as the oxygen tanks and warping noises. Our group then went on to become finalists in the rookie awards for VR in 2023.  https://www.therookies.co/contests/321/results#finalists

BT Sport: Takeover

I was a part of this project that was hosted by BT Sports it was an amazing experience where I had the opportunity to be on TV as a presenter. I also operated a boom mic and was in charge of selecting music that was shown.
